Last night my husband and I went along to the St Martin’s Lane Hotel for Rodial’s 5th Beautiful Awards. Attending an event focused on beauty tends to make me up my game, but after a spray tan at the spa at Brown’s Hotel in Mayfair (the best spray tan in London in my opinion!) and a little side chignon courtesy of my favourite hair salon, Hari’s in Brompton Road, I felt party-ready. All that remained was to don my Madderson London Erica dress and pop to my friends at Boodles jewellers who very kindly lent me some stunning diamonds to wear (I was devastated to give them back this morning!). Here are some snaps of my their gorgeous chandelier earrings and triple-row tennis bracelet.

The awards themselves, dished out over dinner in an intimate salon, were fabulously fun. Rodial is such a unique and progressive cosmetics company, creating products that are very targeted and functional. I’ve been using their Brazilian fake tan recently and I have never had more questions as to what fake tan I’m using (women) or whether I’ve been on holiday (men). I’m a huge admirer of Rodial’s stunning founder, Maria Hatzistefanis, who has an unwavering vision of how to change and improve the skincare and cosmetics industries. You can check out her fabulous lifestyle and beauty tips on her blog here.

Onto the celebs: there was a fantastic turn-out for the awards last night. Laura Whitmore hosted and Pixie Lott, Daisy Lowe, Jameela Jamil, Olivia Grant, Jodie Kidd, David Gandy, Camilla Rutherford, Amanda Wakeley, Kelly Hoppen and Julien MacDonald were among the famous faces distributing and receiving awards. Below are some of my iPhone shots! And if you want more footage of the night, the faces and the style check out the Mail Online for this summary (there’s a reason they won Most Addictive Website last night!!). Enjoy!
