Arguably the most A-list event on the Summer’s party circuit, the Serpentine Gallery Summer Party attracts Hollywood stars (Sarah Jessica Parker, Ewan McGregor), a pack of international ‘Supers’ (Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Karen Elson and Eva Herzigova) as well as the cool Brit in-crowd (Princess Beatrice, Mick Jagger, Daisy Lowe, Donna Air, James Middleton etc etc). Last year’s gallery party was hosted by the late L’Wren Scott (April 28, 1964 – March 17, 2014), a tragic figure, who will be remembered for her contribution to the world of fashion.

Needless to say, this event requires an incredibly well connected social circle to even get a whiff of a ticket. However, it’s fun to imagine what dressing for this kind of red carpet affair might be like – and to look back at the best dressed from previous years of Serpentine Gallery gatherings. Here we bring you our top picks from the 2013 event (photos courtesy of Vogue.co.uk) followed by Madderson London looks that guarantee to transform you into A-list material.

Women in Black: Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss and Eva Herzigova

Pale & Interesting: Caroline Sieber, Sarah Jessica Parker and Karen Elson.

While perennial black & whites will no doubt appear at the 2014 event as well, our prediction is that we’ll see a lot more on-trend florals and pops of colour at this year’s event. Hence we’ve picked out our own show-stopping Alexia dress, with its va-va-voom tailoring and beautifully layered appliqué white daisies on Italian pink mikado. Here’s a dress that is certain to wow fellow guests and onlookers alike.

For pregnant women attending, we’ve opted for a cooler colour palette of ice blue and metallics which combine beautifully for a more ethereal look. Slyph-like yet sophisticated, the baby doll Amelie dress evokes a ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, so apt for a balmy early July evening in Hyde Park!

We wait with baited breath for the Serpentine Gallery’s 2014 party guests to appear…x
